This is a vintage 1950s era wool sweater with a felt patch on the back that reads “City Park”.  I’m not sure, but I think that City Park may refer to an area in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  The sweater has a high set rounded “shawl” collar and raglan type sleeves.  The shawl collar is actually a second layer that I think that you could wear down to make the sweater collarless.   It is knit in a ribbed pattern in a rich goldenrod yellow colour with maroon trim.  It does up the front with six plastic buttons and has a shallow pocket built onto either lower front side.

Label: Tonquin by Cloverdale.  Cloverdale Knitting Mills was located in the Edmonton, Alberta area of Canada.

Material:  Wool

Sizing: No size is indicated, and although this should fit a medium body size, probably a size 38, so please closely verify following measurements for fit:

Sleeves:  33” long from the neckline with the cuffs unturned - the cuffs can be turned back about 2”

Sleeve inseam:  20”

Chest: about 44” around, taken under the arms - 21 3/4" across from pit-to-pit

Waist: 38” around

Length: 29”, measured flat

Condition: It is in very good condition with no wear, tear or odours - there is a slight darkish stain on the right sleeve and a bit of dye run to one of the cuffs (see last close-up photo), quite minor.  Also, the bottom button is missing, but there is a spare button under the collar that can be used to replace it (see photo).

This is a great looking vintage sweater - fabulous colour, attractive style!
