Vintage 1950s Party Dress Black Cotton Pellon Lined Size S

This is a super quality vintage 1950s party dress.  The label is no longer there, but this 1950s party dress is obviously a high-end dress, beautifully pieced together and fully lined with pellon stiffener (see photo of lining).  The dress is sleeveless, with what some might call a sweetheart neckline, and narrow shoulder straps.  It has a form fitting bodice with a full cut skirt.  The skirt of the dress is posed with a crinoline to create a full 50s look, but no crinoline is supplied.  The dress does up the back with a metal zipper.  The exterior is made of a basketweave type cotton.

Sizing: No size is indicated, and although this 1950s party dress should fit a small size, so please rely on the following measurements for fit keeping in mind the style of the dress and the tiny waist:

Bust: 34”-35”, around, taken under the arms

Waist: 25”, around

Hips:  Full

Overall length: 39 1/2”, measured flat

Condition:  This 1950s party dress is in very good condition - the lining is a little creased, but this is normal for pellon.  Otherwise, clean and wonderful.  Please note that pellon can only be cleaned by a professional as it normally disintegrates with normal dry cleaning.
