Vintage 1950s Dressing Gown Black Satin Asian Motifs Robe M

This is a vintage 1950s dressing gown or lounging robe featuring a woven Chinese /Asian design in tones of orangey red, violet, blue, green, yellow and brown against a black satin background.  This 1950s dressing gown has small pads in the shoulders, quilted black satin shawl lapels and closes with a black satin sash belt. The robe has a chest pocket and patch pocket at either side, all trimmed in quilted black satin fabric.  This 1950s dressing gown dressing gown is fully lined.

Age: 1950s

Label: None, except for a size label.  Most likely of Asian origin

Material: Rayon satin

Sizing: Size 42 is indicated, which is the chest measurement.  This should fit a medium size (US size 38), but please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Shoulders: 17 1/2” across seam-to-seam

Sleeves: 24 1/2” long

Sleeve Inseam: 19 1/2” long

Chest: 42, taken under the arms and depending on overlap

Waist: 42” around, but meant to be cinched

Overall length: 53 1/2”, measured flat

Condition:  This 1950s dressing gown is in excellent condition, very crisp and clean with no wear, tear or other defect.  This dressing gown looks to have seen very little use.
