This is a wonderful vintage 1950s blue mohair tux jacket, custom tailored in a shiny purplish blue mohair and wool blended fabric.  This 1950s blue mohair tux jacket is made with heavily padded shoulders and has shawl lapels in blue satin and a single button closure.  It has a breast pocket and a jetted pocket at either side.  The jacket is fully lined in navy blue satin.  There are no pants, but this should work with black pants.
Label: Stylebilt Clothes Custom Tailored by Nelson & David Montreal
Fabric:  Due to the sheen, this 1950s blue mohair tux jacket is almost certainly a mohair and wool blend - mohair was often used for tuxedos during that time period.
Age:  The tailor’s label appears to be dated March 2 57 - very light and difficult to read.
Sizing: Being custom tailored, no size is indicated, and although this 1950s blue mohair tux jacket should fit a medium size, about a US size 40 short, please rely on the following measurements for fit, taking the cut of the garment and thickness of fabric into account:
Jacket:
Shoulders:  18 1/2” across seam-to-seam
Sleeves:  23 1/2” long
Sleeve Inseam:  15 1/2”
Chest:  44” around, buttoned, taken under the arms
Waist: 41” around
Length:  29”, measured flat at the back from the neck seam
Condition:  This 1950s blue mohair tux jacket is in very good condition, with no pronounced wear, tear or staining except for a broken button on the right cuff (see close-up photo) and the shoulder lining seams need a few stitches (see close-up photo).
This is a nice quality custom tailored vintage 1950s blue mohair tux jacket - striking shiny blue mohair fabric, sure to be noticed!
