This is a vintage 1950s faux fur jacket or short coat made of black velvet with a large acrylic collar. It is meant to resemble broadtail with a mink collar. The collar is quite large and can be worn down and open at the neck or done up at the neck with the collar standing up covering the head, should you need extra warmth for the head. It does up with two buttons at the front. The sleeves are an above-the-wrist length and there is a pocket built into either side. The jacket is lined in tan satin.

Sizing: No size is indicated, and although this should fit a medium size, please rely on the following measurements for fit, taking the thickness of fabric into account:
Shoulders: 16 1/2” across seam-to-seam
Sleeves: 22” long
Sleeve Inseam: 15 1/2”
Bust: 43” around, taken under the arms
Bottom: 43” around
Overall length: 24”, measured flat
Condition: It is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, staining or odour. This jacket looks to have seen little use and was well stored over the years.
