Vintage 1940s Skirt Suit Checked Pattern Size Medium

This is a vintage late 1940s skirt suit featuring made in a striking orange-brown and black checked pattern.  The jacket to this 1940s skirt suit has padded shoulders, curved recessed upper bodice, rounded collar, cinched waist and turned cuffs on the sleeves. It has ten matching two tone glass buttons down the front and a longer silhouette.  The matching mid-calf length skirt to this 1940s skirt suit has a small kick pleat at the bottom back and closes with a metal zipper and button at the left waist.  The jacket is fully lined in orangey coloured crepe.  The skirt is unlined.  The fabric is woven with a flecked linear design in tones of blue, white and grey against a black background - the overall impression is a muted blue tone of charcoal.

Condition: This 1940s skirt suit is in very good condition with no wear, tear, stains or odours. . This suit looks to have seen little use and was very well cared for and stored over the years.
