Vintage 1940s Ladies Dressing Gown Floral Chintz Robe Size L

This is a wonderful vintage 1940s ladies dressing gown made of rayon faille (fine grosgrain) fabric that is printed with a striking floral pattern  The print is in colours of blue, green, red, pink and white against a black background.  This vintage 1940s ladies dressing gown has shawl lapels and is cut with a full skirt.  It has a matching sash belt that cinches the waist.  The robe also is secured at the waist with a tie that affixes to a tie on the interior.  It has an applied pocket on the lower left side - the pocket has a rounded flap.  The piece is unlined.

Condition: This vintage 1940s ladies dressing gown is in very good condition with no wear, tear, staining or odours.  This looks like it saw little use and was well stored over the years.

These rayon grosgrain chintz vintage 1940s ladies dressing gown are becoming very difficult to find - 30 years ago they could be found, but now I rarely see them.  This is a great example.....striking floral print!
