This is a bolt of vintage 50s fur coat lining fabric woven with a gold pine cone and brown branch design against a taupe brown background.  This fur coat lining fabric is unused in a bolt that measures 54” in width, including the selvedge, and 4 yards in length - there is about 15” at the beginning of the fabric that has some tape residue as the fabric was secured on the bolt with masking tape, so I’m selling this as 3 1/2 yards of usable fabric, although you could salvage some of the fabric where the tape marks are.  This fur coat lining fabric was acquired from the liquidation of an old fur business, so obviously had been used to line fur coats - in those days, fur coats were treasured and very expensive, so they would use only the best quality fabric to line them.  I did a burn test to ascertain what it is - the residue was a black melted bead, so I’m fairly certain that it is acetate, albeit, very nice quality.  You could almost use this fur coat lining fabric on either side, although the satin finish side is the correct one - I’ve shown both sides in the photos.

This fur coat lining fabric is great if you need to re-line a fur coat, or perhaps could be used to make other items from scarves to pillows or anything that you can think of that doesn’t require more than about 3.5 yards….
