This is a vintage pottery salad bowl made by Southern Potteries under their Blue Ridge brand name. The bowl features a hand painted flower pattern that looks identical to Sun Bouquet but in a different colour scheme, primarily a blue tulip rather than a red tulip. The plate has a pie crust edge and is trimmed in green paint. The script backstamp on the underside of this bowl was purportedly used during the late 1930s and early 1940s while the piecrust shape was purportedly introduced in 1948, so there is a conflict in the dating, but 1940s seems reasonable. The bowl measures 8 1/8 in diameter with a height of 1 1/2 - could also be used as a low soup bowl. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, scratches or wear. I have four of these available, price is for one bowl. I also have other pieces available, all part of the same dinnerware set. I can combine to save on shipping if you buy several pieces. Nice early Blue Ridge hand painted dinnerware in an unusual colour variant!
