Mid Century Chalet Canada Art Glass Pink Centrepiece Bowl Canadian Murano 15

This is a striking piece of Chalet art glass made in a large triangular stingray" bowl form. The piece is acid etched on its underside with Chalet Canada. Chalet was started in Montreal as Murano Glass Inc. in 1960 and when it moved to Cornwall in 1962, the name was changed to Chalet. The employees at Chalet were glassblowers who immigrated to Canada from Murano, Italy. This piece is made in a pretty tone of pink glass to the outer edges with a clear centre. The piece measures 15, 13 1/2 and 12 1/2 along its sides. Due to its size, weight and fragility, it will be shipped well protected and double boxed in an oversized box. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or wear except for light scratching to the underside due to surface contact. Ive felt the entire area with my fingers are there is no surface roughness or damage. This is a very nice addition to a Chalet collection or simply a wonderful display piece for a mid-century modern decor - lovely colour and form!
