This is a wonderful vintage smoking jacket made by Caulfeild of Toronto.  The smoking jacket is made of red corduroy with black faille (grosgrain) trim.  It has padded shoulders, a narrow shawl collar, turned cuffs and does up with two plastic buttons at the front.  There is a jetted pocket at either side and one at the left chest.  It is lined in black rayon or acetate.

Age: late 1950s or early 60s

Label: Caulfeild Tailored by C.B.G.  Caulfeild was founded in 1886 as a retailer but by the 1920s became a manufacturer, eventually gaining 30% of the Canadian market for robes and loungewear during the 1970s.

Material: Cotton corduroy

Sizing: No size is indicated on this smoking jacket , but it should fit a medium size, probably a US size 40 - please rely on the following measurements for fit, either comparing them to another smoking jacket that you may own or your body measurements, allowing at least 1” for fit:

Shoulders: 19” across seam-to-seam

Sleeves: 26” long

Sleeve Inseam: 20” long

Chest: 46” around, taken under the arms

Waist: 42” around

Overall length: 33 1/2“

Condition:  It is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, or staining - this will benefit from a professional pressing.
