Vintage 80s Kid Mohair Sweater Violet Ladies Sz 40

This is a kid mohair sweater made in Germany by Bode Strickmode.  The mohair sweater has an oversized form with dolman style sleeves.  It does up with two plastic buttons arranged across the top and so just overlaps at the front.  The mohair sweater is knit in horizontal rows of vertical stitches.  It is made in a violet purple colour with red and light greyish blue ombré patterning along either side, including the upper sleeves.  It has a small pocket at either bottom side and is unlined.

Age: 1980s

Material: The content label reads 70% Kid Mohair /  30% Polyamide Kid mohair is made from the hair of younger angora goats, thinner and more precious than regular mohair.

Sizing: German size 40 is indicated, which is equivalent to a US size 14. Please rely on the following measurements for fit, taking the style and thickness of the mohair sweater into account:

Shoulders and sleeves:  30” from the neck opening

Bust: 58” around, taken under the arms, meant to be loose due to dolman sleeve

Bottom:  39” around, unstretched

Overall length: 28", measured flat

Condition:  This mohair sweater is in very good condition with no wear, tear, stains or odors.  It looks to have seen very little use and was well stored over the years.

This is an attractive sweater with classic 80s era styling…excellent German quality!
